View of the last two days. 5 blankets to help with the shivers, towels for the sweats. There’s a chocolate bar in there somewhere xx #mastitis #boobflu
17 hours to go www.fleurjack.com Pretty stoked I figured out how to get a countdown timer on my forehead!!
Well, I’ve got five weeks left until baby comes (maybe 7 if he’s as stubborn as me and my sister Olivia were). Plenty of time to organize an album release party AND prepare for baby. My mental checklist is in order. The CD’s have been shipped worldwide with all the other perks from the Indiegogo campaign. I’m almost ready to send out the download codes for the album (maybe about two or three days time inbetween the upcoming weekends shows). I’m on day three of updating my website and bringing it into the world of HTML5. I barely know what that means but I’m almost ready to relaunch my brand new, much better looking website and with some luck, this one might actually work on smartphones.
There’s a man outside my window who has been running some kind of weed whacker for the last two hours and now there’s a freaking helicopter buzzing around the house. I want to punch them all in the faces for being so loud. That, ladies and gents is the hormones talking. They make me a crazy person. Anywho, I’m one-and-a-bit paragraphs into blog-land and I’ve already wandered off topic SO;
CD RELEASE PARTY YEAH???
I was wondering for a while, how I could have an album release party with all of my close friends and family living on the other side of the world. Of course, I wanted to include everyone from all around the world who have supported me, first on Sellaband with the Ghosts of Cimarron album and now again on Indiegogo with Tales from the Dodge.
With a little help from my musician friend Rebekah Ann Curtis, (who is also from NWTV and NWCZ Radio) I’m very pleased to announce, we’re going to broadcast a CD release party/ show, live on the internet;
**Saturday August 3rd at 7pm PDT
**Sunday August 4th at 2pm (New Zealand)
There will be a link to the LIVE STREAM from my website on the home page and also I will have the details on facebook and twitter just to cover all my bases of where you might be looking. I’m hoping that it will be an interactive stream, so while I’m playing songs, you can write me messages and at the end of each tune, I can say hello to ya. There will be links up while you’re watching, so you’ll know where to get the new CD from if you didn’t pre-order it.
The gig will be FREE but I will gladly accept donations for nappies and other such baby things that no doubt i’ll be needing soon. I’ll be sure to post a link to my donate bar.
I GUESS THAT MEANS THAT THIS DOUBLES AS MY WORLDWIDE BABY SHOWER!!!!!!!
In other news; **Had a lovely cup of coffee just now with naughty hazelnut creamer. Lucky I’m allowed a coffee from time to time during the pregnancy, otherwise I think i’d go a bit nuts.
All for now ~ Fleur xx
In the past week, I have read several articles of ‘journalists’ and I use that term loosely, because today’s journalists are a shadow of their former selves.
Let’s discuss journalism to begin with. Journalism, whether it’s just fact reporting or editorial piece, it is imperative that the…
